Your Fashion Week Trend Report - The Makeup Looks You'll NEED In Your Life!

It’s our favourite time of the year at Blusho HQ because there is so much happening in the beauty world! From celeb makeup at the award shows to what we’re going to be rocking this fall/winter at the fashion week shows, it’s almost too much beauty for us to handle (just kidding, there’s never too much!)

As today marks the end of London Fashion Week, we’re taking a look back at 5 of the biggest beauty trends that have made an appearance on the catwalks both here and in New York to give you an insight into how you will be able to update your look this winter. We know summer isn’t even here yet, but you can never be too prepared!

Dark Statement Lips

Charlotte Olympia LFW - Popsugar

Seen basically everywhere! Who doesn’t love a statement lip?! We’re not going to lie, we love when statement lips are on trend because they are one of the easiest looks to pull off, forget the hours spent slaving over those smokey eyes, a swipe of bold lippie and you are good to go. Mary Katrantzou, Charlotte Olympia and House Of Holland were just some of the London shows that rocked the look whilst across the pond Marc Jacobs and Rihanna’s Fenty x Puma show went for super dark all black lips.

Glitter

Burberry LFW 2016 - Harpers Bazaar

Of course winter is the time of year glitter comes out to play; Christmas and New Year eat your heart out! With glitter spotted in tear form in London at Burberry, added sparkle at Markus Lupfer and Tommy Hilfiger adding some glitz to eyes in the States during his New York show, we have a feeling sparkle is going to be huge.

Spider Lashes

Eudon Choi LFW - Popsugar

While we are usually telling you to declump your lashes, this time it’s the complete opposite. Statement spider lashes were a thing at Eudon Choi and this wasn’t a one off, as it was also spotted at Jason Wu in New York. It’s going to take some time to get used to! ;)

Graphic Eyes

Ryan Lo LFW - Glamour

Not for the feint hearted, black graphic eyes were a huge hit at Oscar de la Renta and Altuzarra in New York whilst Simone Rocha and Ryan Lo pulled off the trend in London. From graphic liner to ultra intense black lids, it’s drama at its finest.

Red Lips

Roksanda LFW - Popsugar

Red lipstick is an instant classic and that’s exactly how it should be worn. No complications, pair with minimal eyes for a laidback look to wow. Spotted at Roksanda in London and Victoria Beckham in New York, red lipstick will always be on trend in our eyes!

Metallics

Julien MacDonald LFW 2016 - Popsugar

If glitter is a bit too much for you, then metallic could be the trend to turn to. Holly Fulton went for silver foil lids at her show in London but for something subtler try adding metallic to your smokey eye a la Julien Macdonald or gorgeous golds like Jenny Packham in New York.

Minimalist

Ralph Lauren NYFW - Glamour

Bare faced beauty has been making waves for a while now and it's not ready to back down yet as it was spotted in both New York and London at so many shows, in fact it's probably the one trend we saw over and over again. Ralph Lauren went for just a flush of pink on the cheeks and lips in New York while Kendall Jenner wore no makeup whatsoever at Michael Kors (we need those genes!).
Temperley flew the natural look for the Brits in London with no makeup makeup but those brows were serious!
