Top 10 Makeup Tips For Girls Who Wear Glasses

Just because you wear glasses doesn’t mean you should be scared of wearing makeup too! In fact, glasses are a fab fashion accessory and can be worked in conjunction with your makeup to create a beautiful, flawless look! Check out our top ten tips for looking gorgeous in your glasses!

1.    Use Concealer

Frames can create shadows on your face especially under your eyes so we recommend using a yellow-based under eye concealer to counteract any dark circles. Don’t over do it though as you don’t want it to look caked on and magnified by your lenses.

2.    Highlighter

Using a highlighter under your eyes makes them appear brighter and you’ll also look more awake which is an added benefit for those early mornings!

3.    Blot blot blot

Blot away any excess foundation on the bridge of your nose and cheeks to prevent it coming off onto your frames. Then use a setting spray or powder will set your makeup and stop it sticking to your glasses.

4.    Define those brows

Although glasses are all about your eyes, you can’t forget your brows! Brows are so important as they frame your glasses so you want them to look perfect. Make sure you shape them by plucking any stray hairs under your brow bone and define them by filling them in using a brow pencil or shadow.

5.    Keep it neutral

If you want to wear eye shadow, stick to neutral colours such as nudes or shimmery light pinks. Darker shades will accentuate any dark circles under your eyes and can make your eyes look smaller.

6.    Curl your lashes

Use an eyelash curler to curl your lashes, this will open up your eyes making them appear bigger and also prevent them from hitting your lenses. If you want some more definition pair with black mascara to really make your pop.

7.    Liner love

The golden rule with eyeliner is the thicker the frame the thicker the liner whereas the thinner the frame, the thinner the liner should be. This handy trick will help your eyes stand out.

8.    Bold lipstick

Just because you can’t wear bold colours on your eyes doesn’t mean you are restricted from wearing it anywhere else on your face! Going for a bright bold statement lip is a sure way of adding some fun to your look.

9.    Blush

If you don’t want to go for a bold lip but still want a bit of colour, using a soft pink blush is a great way of adding a subtle but colourful look to your face. Pair with some bronzer to accentuate your cheekbones for a structured look.

10. Makeup glasses

We love this invention! If you find you really can’t see when you’re applying your makeup lens-free then you need to invest in a pair of these! Designed specifically for applying makeup, each lens flips up so you can do each eye individually with 20/20 vision.
