Blusho's September Beauty Favourites

We can’t believe it's October this week! Where is the time going?! Although we are well and truly hating this cold weather and our gorgeous summer clothes and bronzed makeup have been packed away, Halloween is coming! In homage to our favourite time of the year we will have some top tips and inspiration for your Halloween makeup coming soon so stay tuned! Although first of all, here is some of our top products that we have literally been loving this month!

1.     Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator – So Hollywood

We may be a little late to the game with trying the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminators (£28), which have well and truly taking over the highlighter and glow world but unfortunately they only became available in the UK as of two weeks ago! Obviously we ordered one immediately, and after much deliberation and scanning of some of our fave #mua’s videos, So Hollywood, the ‘true gold', seemed to be the most popular shade.
It really does give you that glamorous Hollywood glow and looks perfect with any skin tone. We also love how you get so much product in just one sweep meaning it will last for such a long time! LOVE!

2.     Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation

If you saw our review of this foundation last week (here!) then you will know that we have fallen head over heels for Charlotte’s newest foundation. 5 years in the making and it was worth the wait! Not only does it give us a flawless finish but it is so lightweight that you never feel caked in makeup. Coming in such a great range of shades, there is bound to be a shade to suit every skin tone. It is still selling out in stores because it truly is that good but you can also get it online at Charlottetilbury.com for £29.50.

3.     MAC Lipstick – Velvet Teddy

So the hype surrounding Kylie Jenner’s lips may finally be calming down but not at Blusho HQ, we still need that look, pain free of course! So despite trying nearly every product that claims to give you that Kylie look, our latest attempt at the trend is with MAC’s ‘Velvet Teddy’ (£15.50). Kylie has admitted to using so many different products at once to create her signature look, but we just don’t have the time to be lining with 12 liners and mixing 5 lipsticks together! However, we feel like we might have finally cracked it with Velvet Teddy. The nude/light brown has a slight pink undertone making it super flattering and unlike some browns it’s not too bland. We’re feeling very Kylie!

4.     Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel

Brows be on fleek with this clear brow gel! Ok, we don’t actually talk like that, but it makes us sound like a proper YouTuber don’t you think?! Anyway, our brows are never complete until they have been set and our latest brow obsession is the Clear Brow Gel (£16.50) from the queen of brows, Anastasia Beverly Hills. The one great thing about this gel is the silver packaging. A lot of brow gels come in see through clear tubes, which look fab at the start, but after five uses the colour from your brows comes off into the tube so you’re left with a dirty looking gel, and that does not look good! Secondly, the gel goes on so light, so your brows aren’t drowned in the gel and therefore rock hard! A little goes a long way with this gel and your brows won’t budge all day!

1.     Motives Color Perfection Quad (£22.40)

The cream foundation quads from Motives Cosmetics are our favourite way to contour our face lately after seeing Huda Kattan (Huda Beauty) rave about them for ages! Nowhere near as bulky as some of the other contour kits, the quad easily fits in your makeup bag making it perfect for travelling or doing your makeup on the go. Available in 4 shades, the texture is so creamy making them super easy to blend as well as concealing and covering the darkest of blemishes. Trust us they’re fab!

Although there is a UK site for Motives Cosmetics, you can’t purchase the quad on there so check out this handy video below from Tamira Hamilton showing exactly how to order the quad in the UK.
